1. Service Description
Skill Federation, operated by Qstar Labs ("the Service"), provides private, vetted skill search for AI agents. The Service accepts an abstract description of a capability an agent needs, searches a vetted catalog of publicly sourced skills, and returns license-clean, security-checked matches that you may approve for installation on your own machine.
2. Account & Identity
The finder runs locally and is free to use without an account. Teams and enterprise customers may create workspace-scoped accounts to access a private, governed catalog. Workspace administrators may manage membership, roles, and access controls (RBAC) for their workspace.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of any account credentials issued to you. Your access to a private catalog is governed by your assigned role within the workspace.
3. Skills & Installation
Skills surfaced by the Service originate from public repositories and third-party authors. Each match carries a license class and provenance record. Skills are copied, deduped, and scanned before promotion into the catalog; scanning is best-effort and no scan is a guarantee of safety.
Nothing installs without your explicit approval. A skill runs with your agent's permissions on your machine. You are responsible for reviewing what you approve and for complying with each skill's upstream license.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to distribute malware, or to knowingly submit or promote malicious skills
- Attempt to circumvent scanning, rate limits, or governance controls
- Misrepresent the provenance, authorship, or license of a skill
- Use automated systems to abuse or degrade the Service
Violations may result in temporary suspension or permanent account termination at our sole discretion.
5. No Warranty on Matches
Retrieved skills are surfaced from a large, noisy public catalog. The Service makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, safety, completeness, or fitness of any skill for your specific use case. Security scanning is best-effort — "no findings" does not mean "no risk."
Always review a skill before approving it, and validate its behavior against your specific context.
6. Service Availability
The Service is provided on a best-effort basis for free users. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Teams and enterprise customers may be entitled to specific uptime commitments as defined in their respective service level agreements (SLAs), provided as separate documents.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. You may stop using the finder or delete your account through the Service or by contacting us. Upon termination, any issued account and API credentials are deactivated.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Qstar Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, use, or goodwill resulting from:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service
- Any skill obtained, installed, or executed through the Service
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Any third-party conduct or third-party skill
